Thesis/Dissertation Waiver

Thesis/Dissertation Tuition Scholarship: The waiver reduces nonresident tuition to what Arizona residents pay for tuition for 1 to 6 units. The award excludes the mandatory registration fees and any additional tuition charged by the individual programs. For the tuition structure, please refer to the University of Arizona Financial Services Bursar's Office. The tuition scholarship is designed to reduce the tuition for nonresident students who are within 2 years of completing their degree and only working on their thesis or dissertation research and writing.

Eligibility:

  1. Nonresident graduate (masters, doctoral, or S.J.D.) degree-seeking student
  2. enrolled at The University of Arizona for one to six (1 to 6) credits of 900-level units ONLY (no actual courses)

Application Procedure:

Academic units recommend graduate degree seeking students to the Graduate College for the award. (Students may not apply directly to the Graduate College) 

Range of Support: based on the current non-resident tuition rate.

Limitations: Not more than four (4) semesters.
